First time making fried chicken. The skin was crispy and batter stayed on the chicken....but this definitely, as mentioned in other reviews, needs more flavor. I put a lot more salt/pepper than called for and everyone said it still needed more flavor. I think we may stick to KFC unless they really want me to make it again.

This is the most delicious chicken I've ever cooked! It's moist and juicy and the crust is incredible! THE KIDS LOVE IT!
I took 4 frozen, skinless chicken breasts and let them soak in buttermilk for 3 days (because I forgot about them.
Next time I'll cut them into strips before I fry them because we love the crust so much and want more!
It's not healthy but it's sure good comfort food!!!!

I made this right after I saw the show and it was wonderful! So easy and so tasty. The whole family loved it! I think Ina is great and all of the recipes that I have tried of hers are really good!

Whenever my husband says more than "That was good",about a food I have prepared, then, I know I have found a really wonderful recipe! The day I prepared Ina's Oven-fried Chicken, my husband just could not say enough about how tasty and tender, and juicy it was. I shared some with our neighbor and good friend, Evelyn, and she used the word "succulent". I watch Ina Garten every opportunity I have because she demonstrates attainable entertaining with flair and good taste. Not to mention the delicious-looking recipes that look so elegant, but, easily prepared. I don't watch soaps or any of the new series on tv. We are mostly living in the past as far as tv-watching, but, the Food network is addicting! Even my husband will watch it with me occasionally. It is entertaining and full of useful information. Thank you,

I made this for a Monday night dinner and served it with macaroni salad from the deli and lima beans. Even with 2 feet of snow outside, it tasted like summer. Chicken was very moist and delicious (I did take a previous reviewer's advice and added more seasoning to the coating. Finally a fried chicken recipe that's easy and foolproof! Keep them coming Ina.

This was the best fried chicken my husband and I have ever had. It was easy to prepare and the coating became crisp and scrumptious. This is DEFINITELY a keeper. Also, the salad and mashed potatoes suggested as sides were the perfect accompaniments.

The concept of this recipe is good. However, the finished product, even with very careful attention to temp. frying and baking, came out slightly soggy on the bottom. In my opinion some additional flavor is needed in the flour mixture to offset the bite of the buttermilk. Seemed to take over. I will still use this but will make adjustments in procedure.

For the person whose coating fell off in the oven...your oil was not hot enough when you fried the chicken.
This was a fabulous, simple recipe. I only eat fried chicken about once every couple of years, but this was worth the extra three miles on the treadmill!
