This is such a wonderful dip - even people who think they don't like onions love it! The onions get so sweet and tender.

I love Ina and this dip is well worth the short time it takes to make. Everyone loved it and could not believe how sweet it was! Will make it again....soon!

If you want to have the most popular dish at your potluck, you've gotta make this very simple yet absolutely delicious dip! There is definitely more oil than necessary so I double the onions AND cut the butter and oil in half. Serve in a big bread bowl, potato chips or crudite. Even works wonders as a burger topping (as someone else here suggested. We love this recipe!

This is going to be one of my all time favorite dips.....it is amazing and you don't have to be a big onion fan to LOVE IT! Easy to prepare and great for a crowd. I wish there were more recipes like this one!

This was SO easy and SO delicious that you'll probably find yourself wishing you had doubled the recipe. Two or three people could polish this off in minutes; it's that good. I made this dip in advance for Christmas while my husband watched the Browns playoff chances slipping away on TV. A mouthful of this onion dip actually brightened him up! Ina has never failed me -- not once -- and I'm so grateful to her for sharing her marvelous talent and advice. Thanks so Much Ina! Merry Christmas!
