    I love Ina Garten's recipes. My husband and I were growing tired of steamed broccoli, so I looked to my Back to Basics cookbook for a recipe to change it up a little at dinner. This is now my go to broccoli recipe! It can even be adjusted slightly to use with different kinds of veggies. We haven't been disappointed yet! The Barefoot Contessa truly creates easy to follow, delicious recipes that can make any home cook look like a chef!

    Obviously the person who rated this recipe 2 stars did something wrong, this is one of the best side dish recipes for broccoli that I've ever made. My family was fighting for the last bits in the dish. We all loved it and I look forward to making it again. I love Ina's new Back to Basics Cookbook, it's beautiful to look at but the recipes are "simply" easy and delicious Thanks, Ina. Lorraine Nazzaro

    Ina said that this is the way to get kids to eat their broccoli, and she was absolutely right. If someone says they don't like broccoli, feed them this dish--I think that they would change their mind. This dish was spectacular. My entire family loved it and requested that I make it again.
    (I did make a few changes: I forgot to add the lemon zest, and I didn't have any fresh basil.

    I've made this 6-7 times now and its just fabulous. The sweetness of the roasted broccoli and garlic married with the tartness of the lemon and saltiness of the parmesan and the warm nuttiness of pine nuts is fantastic. My guests loved it and so did we!

    I loved this! My family...not so much. But to be fair, they're not huge broccoli fans and they're not as fond of lemon as I am. I may decrease the amount of lemon juice next time, but this is a really good side dish and might also be good with other veggies, like zucchini.

    This was a very very tasty way to make broccoli. I'm just sorry I didn't make enough! This dish was devoured in seconds! Ina, I wouldn't know what to make without you!

    This was great along with the other recipes from this episode. When I make this again, I will use less salt. Otherwise, no changes!

    This recipe was easy and had a lot of flavor and taste. We have broccoli often, and it can become boring. We both loved the combination of flavors
    (the garlic, lemon, basil and Parmesan cheese. They blended well together.

    MY HUSBAND LOVES BROCCOLI. THIS LOOKED THAT AN INTERESTED ADDITION TO OUR REPETOIRE OF BROCCOLI RECIPES. NEITHER OF US LIKED THIS--WE ACTUALLY THREW SOME AWAY. IT WAS VERY BITTER AND NOT ATTRACTIVE TO SERVE. SORRY.
