I made this as a meal and it was delicious! It was just as yummy the next day, even cold! Followed the recipe exactly, but used a store bought pesto. This is a keeper!

I've made this twice now. This recipe is EXCELLENT! I received rave reviews both times I've served it. Both times were big potluck dinners. This is great for a potluck because it makes so much. The first time I made the pesto from scratch following the recipe. I do think the pesto recipe has a little too much EVOO in it, but it was still excellent. The second time I made it (last night I bought the pesto and the salad was just as good. I am not one who uses recipes over and over, but this one is a keeper and I will make it again and again. Yummy!

This is the perfect "company" dish. The flavors are well balanced. I make this when I am expecting guests from out of town and I'm not sure if they will have eaten or if they'll be hungry. I serve this with some fresh fruit....fabulous! Warm or cold. This takes a little time to prepare, but it makes a ton of food!

Great! I thought the mayo would be weird, but it was great. We have a number of lactose intolerant folks in our family and the mayo was a great way to make it rich without cream. So we did not add much parm and it was still awesome. The best pesto I have eaten in a while.

Followed the recipe exactly, even made the pesto. My husband LOVES pesto so I knew it would be a bit more challenging to get his approval. We all loved it! My husband already dished up his own supply for lunch tomorrow at work! Thank you Ina!

I forgot to use the mayo when I first made this recipe and only use a tiny bit of olive oil --after mixing the pasta and pesto---delicious!! Everyone raves about it and I don't worry about serving it in the summer at room temperature since there is no mayo.

I did not use the recipe for the pesto. I figured its the same as purchasing it in the store. If you want a quick meal or as a side dish, this would be perfect. The one thing i didnt like about this was the mayo. This seems to be a healthy recipe if mayo weren't included. My second batch, i will use a substitute for the mayo. I've found a recipe online for the subtitute. I haven't tried it yet thoug. But there it is... i hope it helps :

    1c. yogurt
    1tbsp. lemon juice
    1/4 tsp prepared mustard
1 hard boiled egg, chopped fine
    1/4tsp celery seed or curry
    1/2 tsp, salt

eat deliciously, and stay healthy! :
