This dish was very good, but I prefer it the first time around (while the sauce is on the creamy side. Once refrigerated, it gets a little hard. Hubby liked it right out of the frig. Don't get me wrong, I would make it again, I'd just make it right before I brought it somewhere. It's got a nice bite to it. You still rock in my book Ina.

Very nice, but a little too much trouble. I cheated and used a good packaged pesto mix doctored up with extra fresh basil leaves and it turned out fine. I love Ina, but as is the case with many of her delicious recipes, there are often many steps to follow and some are too laborious. That would be fine, perhaps, if one were preparing a gourmet meal, but this was supposed to be a causual beach picnic! Still, it turned out very well and was tasty.

This dish turned out just as good as it looked on Ms. Garten's show. Full of flavor and very, very easy when you use prepared pesto. Next time I will make my own pesto with the walnuts which I think will make it even better. Bravo.
Even better the next day out of the fridge.

I have always agreed that peas go great with pasta. This recipe was delicious but next time I won't use as much spinach and maybe some hot pepper sauce.

I brought this dish to a dinner party, and everyone wents nuts over it! It's so fabulous. Picking all those basil leaves takes a while, but the rest of the recipe is relatively easy -- almost everything gets chopped up together in the food processor. My friends request this recipe every year at our annual picnic in Golden Gate Park. One of my all-time favorite Barefoot Contessa recipes.

I know it sounds weird -- pesto with mayo and lemon. But this was fabulous. Easy to make on a weeknight. Just as good the next day -- if you have any left.

Very, very good! I used less mayo than called for. I love the idea of those Chinese take-out containers!
Thank you, Ina!
