Very tasty! I halved the recipe and used peaches and blackberries and added cinnamon to fruit mixture and topping. It was more than enough for hubby and I.

Sometimes the peaches may not be quite as flavorfull as one would like. I added 3 T peach brandy and 1T apricot jam. It was out of this world!

I agree with one of the other reviews...no need to continue your search for a peach crisp recipe. Although I've only tried this recipe once, I'm quite certain that it can be easily tailored to fit each chef's personal tastes. I halved the recipe and changed some of the ingredients, but followed the directions carefully. My 2 1/2 pounds of farmers market peaches were very ripe and sweet. To offset the sweetness, I didn't add any sugar - just 12 ounces fresh blackberries, the zest from one lemon and cinnamon. I also added chopped toasted pecans to the topping and cut back slightly on the butter. The topping was slightly too sweet for my tastes, (I served it with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream but my husband thought it was perfect. I will definitely be making this one again.

SIMPLY FABULOUS! If you like this recipe you must try Ina's pear and apple crisp recipe.
When making this I didn't have raspberries so I used blueberries. I also didn't have an orange so I used Grand Marnier.

I agree with O. C. from CA - no need to sift through crisp recipes, this is the one! It is incredibly good! I used the fruit I had on hand (peaches, strawberries, blueberries and it was perfect, but I bet you could use just about any fruit and it would turn out. When I was making the topping for the fruit it seemed like there would be too much, but it definitely needs all the dry ingredients, "the crisp part", for which the recipe calls.
Make this recipe - it is delicious!

Right now you're looking for the perfect summer dessert recipe, right? Well, don't waste your time surfing this site (or others for the next hour like I did--MAKE THIS CRISP...you will not be sorry. I was a little short on the peaches--only 3lbs and I didn't have any raspberries but I had a ton of blueberries so I added extra to make up for the lack of peaches. Other than that, I followed the recipe completely including the orange zest--which I believe REALLY makes a difference in flavor. So don't leave it out! Enjoy! :-P
