These were wonderful! Our family made a trip to the lake house for the weekend and these disappeared in a hurry! Even my low-carb loving brother-in-law claimed he just had to keep eating them so that my feelings would not be hurt!

It seems the online recipe is inaccurate and perhaps this is the reason for everyone's greasy results. On the show, Barefoot used one stick of butter, but this recipe calls for two.
They looked so good on the show that I had to make them. I tried the recipe using the two sticks of butter figuring maybe the second stick didnt make it on TV because of editing. I ended up having to cook it an extra 15 min and got very greasy results. Also, it was difficult to get 'bars' out of the pan - very crumbly. I have to say though, the flavor was terrific so I'll give it a second chance. However, next time I will use only one stick of butter instead and see if that fixes the problem.

I made these for my family and wow, we love them! I put 15 oz. of chocolate chips on top of the bottom layer instead of the jelly and it turned out amazing! This recipe will be staying in our family for many years to come!

I just tried these bars yesterday and they were a hit with my husband.. These turn out like a rich pb cake brownie. Rich!!!! so i recommend small bars. Previous reviews said they had trouble getting out of pan, I followed Ina's directions and didnt have any problems. Just watch baking times. Another must keep from Ina. I have 3 of her cookbooks and every recipe I have tried has been a hit. Thanks!!

I normally love Ina, but I was not impressed this time. These are almost exactly like a PB&J sandwich except that they're dense and heavy rather than light and gooey. They're okay if you just want to serve them as energy bars as Ina did on her show, but they're not special enough to be a dessert or treat. They did taste better on day two when they softened up, but I still wouldn't bother making these again.

I put chocolate chips in the batter for an extra treat. A good idea is to use seedless jam! Enjoy!

This recipe was excellent. The only thing is I might lessen the salt a little but other than that tasted great and my husband loved it. I've brought it to some of my co workers and they all enjoyed it too.
