This is so fabulous! I have only one problem: I love them so much I can only make them to take somewhere...I cannot be trusted to eat just one (or two!

These bars have quickly become a favorite of my co-workers and friends. They're very peanut buttery and rich. The salty peanuts on top give a very nice crunch and contrast to the sweet bars. You won't be disappointed in these!

I've made these as printed, using chunky peanut butter, with different jams, even with chocolate chips instead of the jam. They are always a hit. They are very rich, so I usually cut them into bite-size pieces.

i am a pb lover. i watched the show and could not stop dreaming about making the pb& j bars. i waited until i bought a kitchenaid mixer. i bought all the ingredients including the kosher salt and went with the pb dough right from the pan. could hardly wait for them to cool. my oven cooks everything fast, so when i smelled them burning, i took them out about 6 minutes earlier. needless to say, they were absolutely delicious! i see why ina had such a big chunk on the show. i could eat the whole batch alone, but my 7 year old son loved them also. will definitely make again. would love to try with nutella or choccolate chips as another viewer mentioned. ina has never disappointed. i have been hooked ever since i made the coconut cupcakes. if you have never made them, when you do, you will think you have died and gone to cupcake heaven. my daughter hates cupcakes and loved these. i could go on and on about ina, but she matches my pallette perfectly. i just paid $25.00 for one of her cook books and i already have a house full. the pb& j bars were excellent!!!

These were OK but they were hard to get out of the pan. I don't think I will make them again.

It tastes just like a pb&j sandwich. For a change you can use chocolate chips instead of jam in between the pb layers.

THIS WAS EXCELLENT. I LEFT TWO AT WORK OVER THE WEEKEND BARELY COVERED AND THEY WERE STILL GOOD.

The bottom crust of this recipe was still very soggy, even after baking an additional 15 minutes. Perhaps prebaking would make it crispier. I prefer Martha Stewart's version to this one.
