These were very good - I made them to send to my youngest brother and his roommates during finals week, and they were a hit! I will definitely make them again, but will make the bottom peanut butter layer thinner (probably will cut the dough recipe by about 1/3. I might also experiment with adding some quick-cooking oats to see if it adds a "cookie" texture!

Too much bar;too heavy. I wound up cutting the bottom in half horizontally.
I won't make these again.

I made this for my peanut butter and jelly sandwich loving teen. He just thought they were so-so. I do agree with some of the reviews that the peanut butter portion could be overwhelming. Perhaps more jam or even a chocolate filling as one reviewer recommended would be a good adjustment. Just not a rave review this time from the taste testers in my household.

I made these for a Super Bowl Party. I kept tasting pieces before hand to try and figure out if I liked them. I thought they were just OK but, to be fair, I'm such a chocoholic that any dessert that doesn't include some chocolate usually gets the "meh" rating from me. That said, people raved about these. It basically tastes like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in cookie form. How bad can that be? :
On a technical note, these should definitely be made the day before or several hours prior to serving. If you attempt to cut them before they cool completely they will fall apart.

I have made these several times and my family just loves these. I have tried using different jellies, jams and preserves in them and find that the jelly/jam needs to be very pronounced in flavor. Raspberry, cherry and grape work much better than peach or apple, but they are all very flavorful. Keep up the good work Ina!

Very tasty, but they did not cook right here. The top cooked and the bottom did not. I know it is the oven over here so I look forward to trying it again when we get back to the States.
Thank you Ina! When I found your show over here and started watching, you inspired me to try new things again! Can't wait to try your Lemon Pie next. You make cooking look so easy and relaxing - what an inspiration! Thank you again!
