These by far are the best brownies I've ever made and eaten. I've been playing with different brownie recipes for a couple weeks trying to find the "one" that fit best for my family and this is it, no need to ever try another recipe again. Now you do have to let it cool in the fridge for a couple hours before even attempting to cut the brownies otherwise it'll fall to pieces, but worth the wait. These are the most rich, delicious, fudgy brownies I've ever tried!

Absolutely one of the best brownies I have ever tasted in my life. I changed the recipe up a little bit because I didn't have unsweetened chocolate so I just used all semi-sweet. Other than that, I followed the recipe in its entirety but just made half and that was still a lot of brownies. They were so moist and the refrigeration helped make them even more fudgey. Absolutely delicious. The only problem we had was my husband did the peanut butter part and he didn't really push the peanut butter into the batter, so it was just a layer on the top that had any. They still tasted amazing and I thought really simple to make. Thanks Ina!

It may be the type of butter you are using. If you add alittle more sugar it may resolve the problem. When chosing butter for candies and baking look for the highest fat content, it seems to work better.

These brownies are excellant, when you get the right combination they will come out perfect every time...good luck

Ina always has the best recipes and when I saw her make these and read all the reviews I had to try making them. At first I did not refrigerate them because I hate waiting for things to cool...so they fell apart. I stuck them in the freezer for an hour or so and they got much firmer. However, it was immediately obvious that they were incredibly greasy-they literally left pools of grease on the plate. People said they were tasty-but I don't think anyone can finish a whole piece because they are so rich. After this I think I'm going to stick to boxed brownies because you can't really go wrong with them and it's much cheaper.

I baked these brownies as a surprise for my boyfriend who recently moved 1000 miles away. He's not a peanut butter fan, so I tried using marshmellow fluff instead. They turned out wonderfully! The fluff is a little harder to swirl, but definitely worth the extra effort.

These brownies are practically perfect in every way! I would eat them in a box or with a fox, on a train or in the rain. I love them, Sam I Am! My two year old and I made them this afternoon for about the billionth time, and I really think there is nothing that compares. Use the best ingredients, which you should do anyway, and you won't be disappointed. There are only two things I do a tiny bit differently, and those are use a lot less coffee granules (ours are from England and are VERY strong! and heat the peanut butter up a bit to make it easier to swirl through the batter. Have your fat jeans on when you make these, because you won't be able to stop!

mmmm-mm. I've made these several times, and each time I bring them to a gathering or just bake 'em up for my boyfriend's family, I receive comments about how amazing they are for DAYS afterwards.

I only use 2 tbsp of the instant coffee granules, because 3 made it a tad too coffee-ish for me. Also, after reading other people's suggestions, i also opted for splitting the huuuge bowl of batter into two 9 x 13 pans, cooking each separately for 30 min, and doing the "rapping" technique 15 minutes into the baking.

DEFINITELY refrigerate-- for several hours if you can. The longer they're in the cold fridge, the easier your life will be when it comes to cutting them. : then just let them return to room-temp!

    Ina, you are my therapy.

My 7 year old daughter and I made these for my husband's company picnic. They lasted exactly 5 minutes!!!! They were great!! We will definately make them again. They are very rich however so we will cut them in smaller pieces.

I just made these brownies last night thinking that due to the rave reviews, they would be fantastic. I followed the recipe exactly, and used high quality ingredients and was not that impressed. They are good but I was expecting something amazing and they were just ok. I'm not sure why the other reviewers stated that this was the only recipe they make because it's nothing better than your average brownie recipe. For all the time and work that is put into them, it's kind of a let down.
