These brownies have the perfect texture: fudgy and dense. I read some of the reviews for this recipe and omitted one TBS of coffee when I mixed the ingredients. While I know that coffee can, and does, enhance the flavor of chocolate, it overpowers the other flavors in this recipe. The coffee flavor also left something of an aftertaste as well. In the future, I will probably only use 1/2 to 1 tsp of coffee. I also found that in order to really swirl the peanut butter throughout the mixture that I had to use more than indicated in the ingredient list. All in all, an extremely promising recipe without the coffee.

I've tried sooo many brownie recipes but this has been the best one yet. The top actually gets that nice brownie top instead of looking like a cake. My brother-in-law, who isn't big on sweets loved this and kept saying how moist and flavorful they were. For me, I think either leave out the salt and add the right amount of peanut butter or reduce the peanut butter. For me the peanut butter made it kinda salty. Everyone is always asking me to make these for them.

I thought the peanut butter didn't bake well. The brownie part was great and I would make the brownies again without the peanut butter. If anyone has a suggestion about the peanut butter, I am open to hear it.

These brownies are so good- thick and rich, fudgy and delicious. You could wrap them individually and sell them for $3 a piece. My husband loves peanut butter, and I like it, but I put peanut butter dollops on 3/4 of it and nutella dollops on "my side". The nutella made it so good. The coffee was just right for us, you can taste it, but it adds such a great background flavor.

I tried this recipe and heard that these brownies were very good. My husband and sons ate the entire pan before I could try one! I didn't have the size sheet pan called for in the recipe, so I halved the recipe and used a 9"x13" pan. I omitted the instant coffee because I didn't have any. I melted the peanut butter to make swirling easier.

Great chocolate flavor, however coffee flavor is too strong...will reduce by 1/2 next time. Much better paired with fresh whipped cream with amaretto

Ina had said this is how she had landed Jeffery in college. These brownies are thee best I've ever eaten. They are moist, chocolaty, and can see how they can be: "the culinary little black dress" When I watched her make these on TV, I just had to log on and print the recipe. I made them for a pot luck at work. We have 22 employees, and there was not a crumb left. Everyone wanted the recipe, and they all think I'm a gourmet baker now! A+, 5 stars, over the top! Thank you Ina.....love your show, you're the best!
