This is a decadent, grown-up brownie with a delicate mocha flavor...and it makes a lot. Next time I may half the recipe and try it in a 9x9 pan. Also do keep them in the fridge. They taste good cold or warmed up.

These brownies are AMAZING!!!! My husband loves them so much, he asks me to make them for his birthday every year instead of a cake. Co-workers rave about them and fight over them when I bring them in. You have to make these!

I made these brownies on christmas eve and they were all gone by christmas night. It was my first time making brownies from scratch and I can't believe how easy it was. One tip I could pass on: Do not rush melting the chocolate and butter. I had my water simmering as Ina said and it took 10 minutes for it all to melt together. Thanks Ina for a great recipe that will become a family tradition. I am making your onion rings tonight!!

Made these for Thanksgiving and can't wait to make again, and again. No more mixes for me, these brownies are THE ONE. They're not overly sweet, they are rich, moist and fudgey. Everyone loved them. They're great for a gathering as they make a lot. I didn't have the big pan so as other reviewers noted I used two 9 x 13 pans and they were perfect. I liked the amount of peanut butter, didn't overpower the brownies, more of a hint of flavor, but you could always add more to your taste. These are a keeper for sure !

These brownies are unbelievably delicious. I only have two small complaints:
1. They're very flakey and therefore hard to cut neatly
2. Not enough peanut butter
If I make these again I would definitely use a little more peanut butter. Also, I used 6 large eggs instead of xl eggs. I wonder if that contributed to the flakiness or maybe if I had cooked them a little longer if that would have helped.
Overall, DELICIOUS and a big hit at the dinner party I attended tonight.

This is absolutely the best Brownie recipe! I actually use a shot of espresso instead of the granules and this only enhances the chocolate, you cannot taste the coffee. As well, make sure you get the best quality chocolate you can afford. Chocolate is the star here, so your brownies will be as good as the chocolate you use.
Thanks Ina!

These brownies are amazing. But I do half the recipe, and put a little less coffee. I love the taste the coffee gives, but it can be overpowering if there's too much.

Holy Schnitzel, Batman! These are some good brownies! You know something is delicious when I say it is. Mostly because I am world renowned food critic Koichignaki Mousimba. I hail from Korea. When I made these nutty peanut buttery brownies, I literally cried. I balled my eyes out. I just shed so many tears. And you know why?! BECAUSE. These are the MOST DELICIOUS BROWNIES EVER. AND I MEAN EVER. And again, you know something is good when the most famous food critic in THE WORLD says it is. And I usually despise peanut butter. So it's good. Mm, mm, mm good. This is truly good mood food. I recently got a divorce from my wife. Sad to say...you would think. But no, no, no. I tasted these little bits of heaven and my sadness is no longer!
