My company enjoyed it. I left the skin on the pears and apples, and used one less apple as I had filled the pan to the top. My only negative was that it was very watery/juicy on the bottom of the pan.

Excellent!!! I've reduced the sugar, used only 2/3 cup brown sugar in the crisp and add juice of 2 oranges. This is the best crisp I've ever had! Will make this over and over again.

The best apple crisp I've ever had! Perfect combination of apple and pear with the tangy accents from the orange, lemon, and cranberries--complex, interesting and very, very delicious! I highly recommend this one!

OMGoodness!! I was nervous about trying a new recipe, but WOW what a hit it was!! My only modification next time will be reducing the amount of flour in the crumble.
Since the Macoun apple was not available, I used Rome & Gala. Otherwise I followed the recipe as is, well with a touch of spices to the topping. It was a major hit and I left the party with almost an empty pan!! Thank you Ina!!

I just made this, and it was delicious. I served it with vanilla ice cream, and everybody loved it. It wasn't too sweet, tart, or mushy. I used Bosc pairs and Fuji apples, as Macoun apples weren't available. The only criticism I have is that I think the topping needed more kosher salt and that I wish it asked for more dried cranberries. I do love cranberries, though. Next time I will try using 1 cup of dried cranberries instead of the 3/4, and just a tiny bit more salt. It's yet another keeper from Ina. :

okay. i didn't do all of this. first off, i used whatever apples and pears i had. i don't know their names, it's just what i grabbed at the store. i am just realizing that i didn't even see the sugar and flour that you're supposed to mix in with the fruit. i didn't have cranberries so i used pomegranates. i didn't have an orange. i grabbed a lemon that was already cut open and just squeezed some into the bowl over the fruit. and zesting? forget about it. i didn't have old-fashioned oats, just the 1-minute quick cooking kind. since there's just the two of us i cut the recipe in half (actually more than half since i didn't include many of the ingredients called for!. the cooking temp and time of 50 minutes was perfect. overall, i found this recipe very delicious, albeit now completely unrecognizable. it seems it's very forgiving. imagine how good it would be if i had actually followed the recipe!

This recipe was easy and tasty. My family loved it. I used pears and apples only. The pears were as hard as the green apples I used and they tasted great after cooked. I made it in the ramekins, and it made 10. I will definitely make this again. :

This is always a hit with my family, I have even made them in a cupcake pan for individual servings!
