I selected this dessert for my husband to make on my birthday and I'm glad I did. Both of us really liked it. He accidently only put four apples in instead of six and they were not missed; it still filled the 13x9 pan. Will definitely make this again and again.

I made this for Turkey Day and the other traditional desserts were completely ignored. Sweet, juicy, delicious! - the "crisp" was truly crispy - heaven in my mouth!

I could not find macoun apples, so used 2 golden delicious and 4 jonagolds and the bosc pears - everything else exactly as the recipe called for.

Thought I wouldn't find anything to top Ina's croissant bread pudding, but this definitely did!! Thank you Ina!

I made this crisp for Thanksgiving dessert and my usually picky teens loved it. I used 9 ramekins and had enough mixture left for another 3 or 4 ramekins. I followed the recipe bake time instructions and Yum! My kids didn't even touch the brownies which were the safe dessert choice yet went back for seconds of the crisp!

CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF IT'S OK TO PUT THIS TOGETHER THE NIGHT BEFORE AND BAKE THE NEXT DAY?? OR WILL THE ACID IN THE LEMONS AND ORANGES RUIN THE APPLES AND PEARS?

This is a delicious recipe, but doesn't serve 8. With a scoop of Ice Cream it will serve at least 12. Cut in half it will serve 6 or 7

Question: What size ramekins do you use when you want to make individual crips

Like all of Ina's crisps and crumbles, this is delicious! Family and friends complimented it highly. I made it in a lovely 9 x 12 inch pottery baking dish; however, if I want to make in ramekins, how many of them and how long to bake them? They would be nice for a fancier dinner gathering.
