This recipe is amazing!!! I used a hand mixer as i didn't have a paddle attachment.I also used 2 ,9x13 foil pans and they worked great. Also used half karo syrup and half honey,as per many users.Wonderful bars, great recipe.Made 48 bars/squares,cut them small as they are rich.

This recipe looks amazing. I was wondering if it could be made with a hand mixer?

THE BEST PECAN BAR EVER!!!!! I make these every year at Christmas for my friends and neighbors and EVERYBODY LOVES THEM!!! Make sure you have the correct size jelly roll pan this is a large recipe and makes way more than 20 bars, but that's a good thing because you will need them everyone always wants more!!! Fantastic!!!!

This is a great recipe. I have made it and given the recipe to others. Thils is one of the most requested recipes at our gatherings. Will be making it for family game night.

What an incredible dessert! Just perfect and super decadent. Beware though, this is not for the budget minded; pecans, butter and good bittersweet chocolate are are going to ring up a pretty hefty bill (but totally worth it!. To Carlos..the sauce is chocolate ganache..I use 1 1/2 pounds bitter sweet chocolate with 2 cups heavy cream. Several recipes are on the Food Network site. Now, to the person that was whining about the fat content..GIVE ME A BREAK!! Why are you looking at desserts if you are worried about fat content?

These bars sound scrumptious, however, I think that these bars have enough fat to put a person in the ICU. Does anyone know where you can find the fat/cholesterol content? And a lower fat version?

Absolutely delicious every time I make them, which by the way, is quite frequently. I also drizzle chocolate in a decorative pattern over the squares, as opposed to dipping one end, so that the chocolate is shared more generously with the entire bar. Another winner for sure.
