Anything Ina makes is amazing! Has anyone every made this with a turkey double the size? I have a 23lb turkey so was planning to just double to ingredients. Any suggestions?

I was very nervous about making turkey for the very first time last Thanksgiving. It was traditional in my family to make duck instead if turkey and I had nightmares remembering those unfortunate times when my dad made a go at making turkey. Thankfully, watching Ina use this recipe gave me the confidence that I could do it and I did! This was the most delicious, moist, savory, and mouth watering turkey I have ever tasted. I was ordered by my family to put the duck away and always make the same turkey every year. Thanks Ina, you are the best!!!! BTW, I did use a brining recipe that I believe was either from Alton or Emeril.

Turkey had never been my favorite type of until I roasted turkey using this recipe for Thanksgiving dinner. It was incredibly flavorful and unlike any other turkeys I've had, it was super moist. Each bite was packed with wonderful aroma and flavor. We love it so much that I am trying to recreate it again for our Christmas feast today!! Using a lemon really made a difference!!

I have been making "fancy" turkeys for the past few years and wanted to get back to basics. This is it! I followed the recipe exactly except I used the convection setting on my oven. Roasted a 16 1/2 lb turkey in 2 hours and it came out brown and juicy and flavorful. thanks again, Ina!

We made two turkeys this year. This one and our usual fried turkey. This one was great!! Very easy to make. I started cooking it with my probe for the convection and it said it was ready in 1 1/2 hours, so just had to go to the timer. Never basted it and it was perfect.....Juicy, great skin, fab!!

I'm 24 and cooked this for the family thanksgiving dinner. My mom who has always cooked the turkey in past years said this was the best turkey she had. The white meat was so moist and flavorful, it didn't even need to be topped w/ gravy.

Just like the name says, this is the Perfect Roast Turkey. Such a simple yet delicious recipe, it made making the T-giving turkey so easy and delicious and the drippings made a great gravy.
