Oh Ina, you never disappoint! This was just perfectly yummy with the right amount of garlic, basil and olive oil. It will go into my recipe box and will definitely be making it again soon.

Yummy! I had lots of basil this year so I thought I'd try to make my own pesto. I reserved 1/2 cup of the oil for sealing the top based on the other reviews, but I ended up adding it to mine before the jarring. Mine would have been dry without it. I guess the difference may be the 5 cups packed of basil. It's really hard to believe how much basil one can pack into a cup.

Really great reciple. Too much salt for my taste so I would cut back in the future. It was also a touch on the oily side....in order to keep it from browning I had to pour kind of a lot of oil on top and it unfortunately affected the sauce.

First time ever making homemade pesto. Store bought will never taste the same again. Easy, fast, delicious recipe. I used 4 cups regular basil and one cup cinnamon basil. It has a nice balance of spiciness. I have to harvest all of my cinnamon basil this week so it will be interesting to try this pesto with one leaf. Thanks, ina!

Too runny, took salty, too oily. A cup and a half of olive oil! Really?

been making this pesto since early July 2012, since my garden is overflowing with Basil, by far this is my favorite Pesto recipe, sometimes if I don't have walnuts on hand I substitute Almonds, today I didn't have a full cup of Parmesan cheese so I used half Asiago, it turned out so good. my Daughter is always hounding me to make this, her husband is also loving it

We tried to make this in a VITAMIX so the texture was thick and goopy. There was too much garlic. Recipe was ok but we would welcome input from others to make this better.

I don't normally come back to review, but this recipe was outstanding. I was shocked at the store to purchase Pine Nuts at around $15.00 for less than a pound, so the inclusion of walnuts with the pine nuts was quite a relief! I wasn't sure if my husband would like it because he isn't a fan of walnuts, but loves pine nuts, but he did! I toasted a few extra to sprinkle on top and had loads of basil out of my garden to use up. I didn't have to use as much olive oil, which was fine - but this recipe was absolutely over the top! Thank you again, Ina.. incredible.
