This has a rich robust garlic flavor! My relatives could not believe that this was not from the store. I paired this with toasted Italian bread (cut into small baguette slices, a slice of mozzarella cheese, and a slice of tomato on top. Absolutely awesome!!!

Best pesto i have ever had!! Will make it again! Instead of pine nuts, i used slivered almonds and roasted the garlic.

I have played with the proportions on this recipe a little bit (adding more or less cheese, more or less pine nuts and have substituted almonds for walnuts and this recipe is DELICIOUS! Also, to take the bite out of the garlic, I roast it, and I toast the nuts as well before adding them in. A perfect summer recipe!

I eat a lot of pasta and I wanted something out of the norm of marinara, so I made Contessa's version. I thought it called for wayyy too much oil so next time I will use about half of what it calls for. Also, I didnt think it had a lot of texture because I added everthing all together including the nuts. By doing this the nuts seemed to have softened while in the mixture...so I ended up having to add more. Other than these two things I thought it was great. My husband also liked it for a dip with his doritos.

The recipe is perfect. No improvement necessary. I live in the Caribbean where it is hard to find pine nuts so I used all walnuts, and I used a little less olive oil, trying to cut a few calories, but I think you could stick to the recipe as is and it would be absolute heaven!!!

I tried out this recipe and I was not disappointed. Just the right amount of everything!! The walnuts was a great touch. If I want my kids to come over for dinner, I just leave a message, "Another Ina Garten recipe and they are at the front door!!"
