I made this for my sweetie tonite, and he thought it was a bit too sweet. cut back on the sugar and it is ok. the flavor was good however, and my husband liked that it uses plums. however, i think i prefer friut pies/cobblers instead. thanks ina, for your wonderful talent. love your show. you are adorable.

I changed the recipe somewhat. I used the plums in my local grocery store - no idea if they were Italian plums or not. I had no idea where to get the liquor, so I used a couple drizzles of balsamic vinegar. Lastly, I substituted granola for the oatmeal. Something else, I don't have a mixer so I tried to use a fork but I ended up using my hands. I know the heat from my hands melted the butter so I ended up with more of a dough instead of a crumbly topping. It was still delicious. One warning - I don't know if it was because of my substitutions. but it was pretty sweet (which wasn't a problem for me as I love sweet desserts.

I always read the reviews before deciding if I want to make the recipe. However, all 3 recipes in this episode show 5 stars, plus give number of reviews ranging from 2 to 3. However, there are NONE for any of them!
I'm an Ina fan, but this is misleading!

This was very easy and came out great. I followed the recipe exactly, except used Orange Juice instead of Cassis. Will be sure to make again!

I don't like to cook with wine or liqueur. Is there a substitute for wine or liqueur. I guess I could Google it, and see what I come up with.

This was an amazing desert. I served it warm with the vanilla ice cream and the whole family loved it. I love prunes or plums but my husband does not and he fell in love with this dish. Thanks, Ina.
