Very disappointed in this dessert. I usually love everything that Ina makes, but this was not as tasty as I thought it would be. If I would make it again, I would probably add cinnamon to the crumble mixture. It was really lacking much of a taste. Her plum crunch was much better!

Easy to make and so tasty! We had it as desert and the next morning as breakfast.
It was so tasty while warm but cooled down also very good!

Super delicious and simple to make! I assembled the dessert in less than 10 minutes. Halved the recipe and it still made plenty. Definitely recommend adding a scoop of ice cream!

Pretty darn good for my first time making it.

I never follow recipes exactly so here are my modifications and results.

First of all, I halved the recipe since there are only two of us in my home and there was enough for 4 large or perhaps 6 small servings which was plenty.

I used fresh peaches and blue berries since both are in-season and readily available although the blue berries were a little expensive at $3.49 for a half pint. Additionally, I used a tablespoon of lemon juice since it didn’t have any OJ in the house and I also added a splash of GOOD vanilla in both the filling and the topping which I think enhanced the flavor of both.

The dish turned our beautiful with deep blue filling oozing up through the golden brown topping. My only complaint is although the almond gave the topping a nice crunch I would have liked a little more crispiness in the topping but the flavor overall was awesome and I will make again.

delicous. not sure what some of the critic was. I left the slices pretty chunky, added a tblspoon of brandy and it came out just right and over some ice cream was even more delicious. so, the key is to not make the fruit no too small and check maybe after 30 min to see how your oven cooks.

Sooo simple , quick and phenomenal good.
I have friends stop by with out a warning.
Did not have any desert in a house. Before we finish improvised dinner - fantastic desert was ready and let me tell you - star of the evening.
Cappuccinos with it - and looked like i planed this for days.
I even didn't have any berries - used red and yellow plums only.
    Thank you Ina sooooo much.
Not for the first time you saved me.

Instead of Chambord, which is very expensive, pick up a bottle of Trader Joe's raspberry wine, it's JUST as good, if not better and it's 1/4 of the price. Great crumble!!!! I anticipate that it will work with many different fruit combinations. Thank you!!!!

Oh, Ina... how I love you. This dessert is seriously amazing-- better than I get at most restaurants and very simple to make. I used blackberries as the store was out of raspberries-- think the fruit could be changed up any number of ways and be delicious. I am going to make this recipe over and over.
