On the TV show, 2 tablespoons of Chambord were used instead of the orange juice shown in the recipe. Please make the substitution! Use the most ripe plums you can find-it makes it very juicy.

This is an excellent recipe and I always get many applause.

Very easy to make and quite delicious--Top with some good vanilla ice cream--makes it even better.

I swear when I saw this made on TV, 2 Tbsps of liqueur was used instead of orange juice... so I used Cointreau instead. But I remember a raspberry or blackberry liqueur being used on the show. Chambord? Anyway, I live in the boonies so I couldn't find any Chambord, but I ordered some online and when it comes I'm giving it a try.

I see others have substituted every fruit in the book. This is great, of course! Now you can make some version of this yummy stuff all year! Different liqueurs are also a possibility. Some brandy or B&B might be good with peaches and pears. Or cinnamon schnapps with apples.

    Carry on! Be creative!

We used blueberries vs. raspberries as that's what I had on hand....so good! The tartness of the plums with the sweetness of the blueberries and the topping....a keeper!

I baked this dessert twice. The first time, it was sort watery because I added extra stuff to it. But it wast still very excellent! All my roommates ate it and love it. And they ate it again and again... till it all vanished. Then they asked for more.... The second time I baked it last Saturday for my roommate's birthday. And it was a hit again. Everyone ate it and love it and want more of it..... I am so, very glad that I chose this recipe. One day, when I was watching your show, I saw you made this dessert. It looked so, so good. And I know, this dessert will be a hit... So I baked it twice! Everyone loved it for ever....
Some people asked me if I can teach them how to bake this dessert? I am a very new culinary student in San Francisco, Ca and inexperience, should I charge her/him or tell them to go to the Food network and pick Ina Garten dessert. This dish was so simple to make and everyone enjoyed it and asked for mo!
Thank you Ina, I love your show. Every dish you made on TV fitted my personality. And made me wanted to be Ina Garten Jr. as well. Although I am a male. Also, I will try to do the one I like most.
I love most of your dishes! I just want to make them and share them and eat them... Thanks again.

This was a very good dessert!!! the fruit was soooo juicy and the crumble gave the dish a very good crunch with tons of texture. It was also a very pretty dessert that was a stunning piece on the dinner table!! I would make this time and time again!!

Substituted the raspberry with blueberies and cut up strawberries, and they turned out delicious! The crumb topping was light and crunchy, not heavy and boring like most recipes. Will make again, with peaches and blueberry.

Wow, this was wonderful. My crumbles usually come out syrupy but this one was great. Nice flavor and much easier to make the crumble topping in the food processor.

This is an easy and delicious dessert, especially when served with vanilla ice cream. It is a bit sweet - the ice cream is a nice foil for that - and it serves a crowd. Wonderful for a dinner party!
