This was one of the easiest recipes to do. I did purchase a popover pan because I found one at a great price and wanted to do this recipe for family gatherings. Because there are just two of us, I cut the recipe in half. I also added a bit of shredded cheese on top. It may be our oven, but they only needed about 25 minutes. Because of the cheese, the top was slightly sunken, but they still looked great and tasted even better.

We were served popovers at the Nieman Marcus Restaurant in Las Vegas and just had to add them to our Thanksgiving menu. I was a bit nervous making them and read all the reviews carefully. We used all the batter up with six large muffin tins. These popovers turned out GREAT and were a hit with the family! Thank you FN reviewers and Ina, our kitchen hero!

I definitely agree with previous reviewers that the cups need to be about 2/3-3/4 full for a really impressive looking popover. I have found that 1 cup flour, 1 cup milk, 3 eggs, pinch of salt and about a tsp, of veg oil is the perfect amount for a 6-cup popover pan.

made these last night. they came out great. i used a muffin pan (no need to buy a popover pan! here's a few things i did to make i easier: warmed the milk in the microwave, beat the eggs, and melted the butter in the microwave. i combined all these seperately and it evened out to room temperature (i didn't have time to wait for the eggs and milk to come to room temp on their own. also, when youre filling the muffin pan, fill it more like 2/3-3/4 of the way. i did this and it works better because they will bake over the top and look great. i tried a 2nd batch and only filled it halfway and they didnt rise much and became what other people referred to as "popunders"
these are really great fresh out of the oven. they are very simple though, so id recommend with butter, jam or a chocolate spread. next time, im gonna try with some parmesan or seasoning.
great recipe, and takes about 30 min in total. so easy
