I have given up making my mom's potato salad that I thought was the best on the planet. Sorry Mom but Ina's taken your place. This has amazing flavors, love the dressing part because I'm not a mayonaissy person but the mustards make it tasty! Can't say enough great things about this recipe - it's tasty, easy to make and everyone raves about it!

Excellent! I boiled the potatoes until cooked enough. Did not use the steam method. Very easy recipe. Everyone loved it!

Really good potato salad -- but really, any potato salad is good as long as you cook the potatoes correctly -- do not take your eyes off them for a minute or they will get too soft. I made this for Memorial Day along with all the other American food classics. I made Ina's angel food cake, then cut it up into pieces and made a type of trifle with strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream. Desserts don't get much lighter than that! It was delicious. We also had baked beans, of course and also corn on the cobb with hamburgers and hot dogs and lots of ice cold beer. Memorial Day is one of my favorite holidays for the food of course, and family but most importantly to celebrate all the brave men who gave their lives for this country. Thanks to Ina for providing awesome recipes!

I watched the video of this Ina making this recipe and heard her say you could also use chicken stock or white wine instead of the buttermilk. I didn't want to have to find another use for the rest of the carton of buttermilk, so I used chicken broth. I also used mayonnaise made with canola oil. These might have been my two biggest mistakes because I absolutely hated the result. Also, I had never boiled whole potatoes and wanted to cut the time down. I cut them then boiled them and did the steam thing. They were still way too hard to eat. All-around no-good. I suppose it could have been my mistakes that screwed it up, but I didn't vary that far from the recipe. Super disappointed.

This is great potato salad and is very easy to make. I used russets since I had them on hand and also switched out the whole grain mustard with wasabi mustard - it gave it a little bit of a bite and added another depth of flavor. I agree with with other reviewers...this potato salad has a wonderfully mild and pleasant "sauciness" and is very complementary. I served a grilled skirt steak and corn salsa (thanks Food Network! with the potato salad...oh, and Ina's Lemon Yogurt Cake with strawberry sauce and vanilla ice cream. Happy Memorial Day!

This was excellent. The dressing was light and didn't have an overwhelming mustardy taste like some dressings do. The fresh dill made all the difference as well!

Ina is the BEST! Her recipes turn out every time. I made this last night, exactly how the recipe says, and I loved it so much that I ate it again for breakfast. Crazy...I know, but when you taste this, you will want to eat it every meal too. This will be my "go to" recipe from now on. Thanks Ina!

Ummm... Yummm!!!! My family loved it! I only changed it a little. I love boiled eggs in my potato salad, and I didn't have buttermilk so I made my own using applecider vinegar and milk. Very good, Ina!
