This was the best tasting pumpkin desert I have ever had. A little time to prepare but well worth it.

I can't believe I've actually found a recipe from Ina that I don't like but my family was a bit disappointed in this one. My husband and daughter are both major pumpkin and banana lovers (separately! and found this flavor combination confusing. Personally, I thought the orange rind was an odd flavor. Maybe there was just too much of it but it just dominated the whole dessert. It's a beautiful dessert and has a lovely texture but I'll do a simple banana pie or a pumpkin tart next time instead.

Great alternative to pumpkin pie. A bit involved in the prep, but very much worth it. My guests devoured it in minutes!

Although I am not a pumpkin lover, I thought this dessert was one of the most wonderful that I have tasted. My entire family could not stop raving about it. The recipe was not difficult to follow and the rewards were the raves that the tart recieved....

Like so many of Ina Garten's recipes, the Pumpkin Banana Mousse Tart was superb! The only correction I made to her basic recipe was to use 2 packets of gelatin instead of the 1 she lists. Each packet I had held 1 teaspone of gelatin and the recipe called for two.

The graham cracker crust was perfect, too. I refrigerated it overnight and my dinner guests loved it. And, the tiny bit I had leftover was great on day 3 as well. It is a bit of a "fussy" recipe, but it is well worth the effort!

There isn't actually a word to describe how great this recipe was. I have made a pumpkin pie for the last 40 years and this year we had a "Food Network Thanksgiving" where we tried Thanksgiving recipes we had seen all month on the network. This was what we selected to replace the traditional pie. It was spectacular. My crust probably didn't turn out as nicely as Ina's, and I used a pie plate as opposed to a tart tin. But it just didn't matter. The flavor was wonderful. I found my family making the pie/tart "more even" in the plate all night.

This was a big hit. However, a bit too sweet for my taste. In the future I will use just a bit less brown sugar, and 1 tsp. of sugar whipped into the heavy whipping cream instead of 2 Tblsp.

This is one very tasty and rich twist to a pumpkin pie. The aroma alone is enough to make your mouth water and when you finish the last bite you will have tasted a slice of heaven!
