Very good! For people who are tired of the good old standard pumpkin pie, this is a nice change. The scalloped tart crust looks great, and so does the piped whipped cream. Ina's suggestion of a few zests of orange peel on the top made a interesting difference--it added a nice fragrance and a little subtlety to the flavor of the tart.

This is one of my favorite Holiday desserts! It always comes out great and everyone loves it. It's now part of our Holiday traditions. The riper the bananas the more flavorful the pie.

Wow! yummmm! Tempering the eggs is very important (add a little of the hot pumpkin mixture to the raw eggs and wisk and then add the eggs back into the pumpkin mixture and wisk CONTINUALLY, very important to the success of this recipe. I left it in the fridge overnight and found that it congealed beautifully! This will be on my Thanksgiving menu this year. Thanks Ina!

I have made this several times during the holidays in place of a Pumpkin Pie. And, I added about 3/4 cup of sliced almonds to the crust. Even those that don't like Pumpkin Pie seem to love this dessert. Enjoy and trust me, it is worth the effort. :

I have made this the last two years and will be making it again this year. It is a big hit. It is easy to make and I get rave reviews from all who make it. I like it as it is a sophisticated step up from pumpkin pie. If you are a die hard pumpkin pie traditionalist...you may want to have this AND your pumpkin pie.

I love it and it is now a staple in our Thanksgiving meal. Thanks Ina!

I made this as a trial before thanksgiving and everyone loved it! Crust is sweet so you can cut back on sugar a little, but it is delicious anyways. I omitted the orange zest just didnt have any. Its definately a recipe I would make again....

Way to sweet for me, but everyone else loved it. I would try again with a bit less sugar.
