Ina, these cookies are awesome!!! My oldest friend is dying of cancer and I made her these a few weeks ago. She (and some of her visitors loved these cookies so much that I now make her weekly batches. Of course I have to leave a few at home because after the house smells so deliciously, my family insists on having a few. These are a big hit with everyone, and forever will have a special meaning for me - thanks.

I made these and we LOVED them! I thought I had all the ingredients but had to use light brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice in place of the cinnamon. Even with the substitions they were YUMMY!

I love these cookies. I followed the recipe with the exception of the raisins. I don't like raisins, craisins or cranberries in cookies. This will be my only recipe to use. Ina is the best. She makes me look like a super star in the kitchen.

My husband's new favorite cookie! I can't lie, they only lasted 3 days! I didn't have pecans in the house and was too excited to try the recipe to wait for a grocery run, so I substituted a 1/2 c. of toasted almond slivers after hearing others using them. AMAZING. Why hadn't I tried almonds in a cookie before? The crunch adds a whole new element I'll be looking to combine in other cookies. Used Silpats instead of parchment, no need to press cookie. This is def going in our recipe box to be used on a regular basis. Great job, Ina!

I love Subway oatmeal cookies. I had a taste for them and didnt feel like going out to buy them. So I used FoodNetwork's Barefoot Contessa's "Raisin Pecan Oatmeal Cookies" (I love her way of "going back to basics" style of recipes This was an easy recipe to make. Although I did omit the pecans part because my picky twins and husband hates nuts. I soaked the raisins for about 5-6min in hot water. Then also added cranberries. it turned out really great! Baked each batch for about 13min. It came out soft, moist and chewy. It was delicious!! you can never go wrong with Ina's recipes!

The best cookies ever!! Don't change anything, don't use craisins! Perfect the way it's written! I made them the size she suggests and also smaller - both were delicious. The Contessa never fails!

Yummy! Replaced the butter with coconut oil, cut the white sugar to 1/2 cup, added toasted almonds and replaced half the raisins with craisins. So delicious, I also placed the dough on parchment paper in a jelly roll pan and then cut into granola bar sizes. Thanks for this recipe we love it!

The only change I made to Ina's original recipe was to use dried cranberries instead of raisins. These are "to die for"! My husband said these were the best oatmeal cookies he has ever eaten. Thank you, Ina!!
