The only problem with the cheesecake is that everyone wanted to eat it before Christmas so I had to make another one.
The real problem was that when I turned up the oven the butter from the crust seaped out and caused the smoke alarms to go off so the second time I put a cookie sheet on the bottom shelf. Of course I had just cleaned the oven the day before but the reward of the cheescake was well worth it:

The cake tastes good, but I followed the recipe exactly and ended up with a crack across the entire cake. Sorry Ina, this needed a water bath.

This cheesecake was a hit at my christmas party for work. My only problem was the sauce which was a little too thin. In the future I will try to thicken the sauce and use a little less rasberry's. Overall the cheesecake had a great consitency and had great flavor. I will make this again. Tim ft myers fl

This cheesecake looks delicious, but I must admit I have not made it yet.
I would never serve cheesecake to children as they usually (I'm sure there are exceptions do not care for it. The expression of the little girl at the very end of the show as she took a bite of cheesecake from her fork is priceless. She started to wrinkle her nose as she tasted, then the camera cut away! I'm sure the rest of her expression was so funny!

This cheesecake is large enough to share with friends and neighbors for the holidays. It is very easy.

I made this cheesecake a couple of days ago for a little friend gathering. I didn't make the raspberry topping though as my friends like it original. However, it was really creamy. I thought I had a perfect recipe for cheesecake already, but now I have better. I think I'll use this recipe for basic recipe. The only change I made was to reduce the oven temperature by 25 degree because I have a dark pan. I also added orange zest in addition to the lemon.

I was very disappointed with this recipe. I felt that there was far too much cream cheese in the batter and even though it was supposed to be "crack proof", I followed the recipe very carefully but mine did crack. Sad to say - there are much better recipes out there. I love Ina but this was not one of her best.

Since my grandmothers passing I have been looking for a cheesecake recipe that could come close to the one she made. Although she made her topping from scratch, this is the closest I have ever tasted.

First time I've attempted a cheesecake and this was absolutely outstanding. It received rave reviews from my family and colleagues. The lemon zest brings the flavor to the next level. I don't have a KitchenAid mixer as of yet, so I used my hand mixer. A bit awkward but the end result was gratifying. Fabulous!
