This is ALWAYS a home run when I make it. I can't drink margaritas made with the gross "mix" because it seems to burn my tongue and is LOADED with uneccessary calories! This is the best "plain jane" margarita around, and if you are short on time, I recommend using Nellie and Joe's Famous Key West Lime Juice. It is still natural and saves a lot of squeeze time. I also serve it on the rocks. Ole!

The freshly-squeezed citrus juices make all the difference. So refreshing. The only thing I will change is to increase the lime juice. I like my margaritas tart. Thanks, Ina!!

I've been looking for an authentic margarita without the tacky mixers, and this one is really fresh and wonderful. I used Jose Cuervos Especial Silver tequila which was very good. Also added a bit more lime juice and 1/2 cup more Triple Sec because it is quite strong. Served with homemade guacamole and chips - amazing!!

My husband and I love margaritas and always order them at Mexican restaurants - however, we're never satisfied because they are so sugary. These are PERFECT - not too sweet and very smooth and easy to drink. Careful, they are very strong and I have to limit my husband to two or he would drink them all night.

We usually add about 2 tablespoons of orange juice to cut some of the tequila taste and we don't blend them with the ice - just shake and add about 1/4 cup of water.

These are some of the best margaritas out there - thanks, Ina!

I have made many types of margaritas but this recipe is by far the very best...fresh, well blanced and delicious.

I added a little more ice than recommended to this recipe to make it a bit icier. Overall, I found this margarita to be pretty strong tasting, I would even recommend adding a little more lemon or lime juice for tartness and to cut the taste. Definitely stronger than your average 'foofy' margarita! Not really my style, but I had a few people tell me it was 'perfect' to their tastes. Just depends on what you like!

This is the best margarita recipe. Very fresh and nice balance of sweet and tart. Very potent so we call it the "happy margarita".

These are great. I recommend you enjoy these at home on a hot summer day. I tried these on my friend the self proclaimed "margarita snob" and she loved them.

This is NOT a sweet, mix-y margarita. Our guests really liked it because it was not at all sweet. I'd have liked it with a bit of simple syrup. But honestly, after 2 of them it really just doesn't matter!
