FANTASTIC! My 10 year son (who is very picky LOVED the meatballs. I only used beef and pork and it was still very good. Loved the sauce...they wine reduction made it rich and flavorful.

I've made the meatballs twice now. Neither time did I have the ground pork, I used ground round and ground veal in equal parts. The first time I tried part of them in the frying pan and had the same problem a lot of other reviewers had with them sticking to the pan. The rest of them I baked in the oven @ 375 for about 15 min & they came out perfect. The second time I made them I just put them in the oven & again came out perfect. Great flavor & really easy. Used 1 1/2 inch cookie scoop & got 40 meatballs. Used half in my own sauce recipe and froze the rest. Second time I also added some grated onion. Love Ina's recipes, never had a bad one yet!

Use ALL of the recommended quality ingredients and these will be perfect. I needed a good cocktail meatball. I doubled the recipe and it made 110 small meatballs. They were fantastic. I would not change a thing in the recipe. The ONLY thing I did differently was to refrigerate the meatballs about an hour before cooking them.

My family and I love, love, love this recipe! The meatballs are very tender - even if you make them up a day ahead. The sauce is terrific and very quick and easy to make. I am making another batch of sauce today and will freeze a portion of it to have a quick sauce on hand for a time crunched day.

I am a freak for Italian food and I have tried many restaurants and NONE have meatballs that taste this great!!! I prepared the meatballs and refrigerated them for couple of hours first before cooking them (helps stop them from falling to pieces. great!!!!!!
