How does one "lay the bacon a sheet pan?" I'm having a blond moment ~ HELP!

Wow! This recipe worked far better for me than Rachel Ray's 13 min microwave bacon! Since a pizza blew up in my 'wave and I couldn't get it all off, the bacon didn't taste as good. But the oven was a great idea! Since I hadn't cleaned my oven in over a year, the smoke that was created from "roasting" the bacon set off my fire alarm, sending the entire local firehouse to my apartment. Not only did I have some delicious bacon, I have some dates for the holidays now! Thanks, Ina!

WOW!!! This is soooo much better than Rachel's "microwave" bacon. Ina is one smart woman!! If only I could have come up with this simple, easy, and so flavorful way of makin' bacon with Ina

This is the best way to make bacon and I have been doing it this way for 10 years.

I use a 1/2 sheet pan lined with aluminum foil and put the Thick Cut Bacon on a cooling rack. Next I dust the bacon with my house seasonings (black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder and dried parsley and 2 tbs of brown sugar. Bake at 400F for 30-35 minutes.

I promise, you will not go back to frying bacon on the store.

This is absolutely the best way to make bacon but the recipe is missing one essential step which I saw on the actual barefoot contessa episode. Ina puts the bacon on a cooling rack and then puts the rack + bacon on top of a sheet pan. The grease from the bacon drips onto the sheet pan so the bacon is nice and crisp.

I have fried bacon for years, and either burnt it or it was undercooked. this was even better than microwave bacon. This is a great way to make bacon for me. I love it. Thanks Ina. Janet, from Winter Haven, FL

I had always made bacon on the stovetop and this was my first foray into roasting it. what an easy success! just be sure to drain the bacon well on paper towels after it's cooked! I used applewood smoked bacon and only cooked it for 13 minutes and it was perfect- a little chewy, a little crunchy. and my shirt doesn't smell like bacon grease!! thank you ina!

This was so great. The bacon came out wonderfully and there was no mess, no grease spatter all over the kitchen, and you can make other stuff while making this!

I have been roasting bacon for a while. It is the best and easiest way to do it. Turns out great every time. I will use the suggestion of using parchment paper next time.
