I thought it was a little weird at first, but i tried it anyway and it was so good. I didn't cook my asparagus that long because i had the thin ones and i sprinkled the cheese on after i took it out of the oven and it melt by itself because the asparagus was so hot. The eggs just melt in your mouth, i usually use milk but i don't think i will ever use milk again bacause the half & half made it so creamy and silky!!!!! This was GREAT!!!!!

At first this seemed like a weird combination, eggs and asparagus??, and I didn't think about cooking it (together. However, I did use the super easy asparagus recipe for a dinner party I was hosting the next night. After seeing there was leftover asparagus the next day, I decided to try it with the eggs. Wow, it was an excellent combination! I also had some leftover lobster salad which I ate on the side for a terrific three combination brunch. Ina is the best!

I love asparagus and the same night this episode aired I had just brought home my first ?pound of the season? from the store, what timing. OMG! How I?d never cooked asparagus this way before is beyond me. Leave it to Ina to remind us that the simplest of methods are always the best way to go. I have always scrambled my eggs like she does so that wasn?t anything new but frankly who cares?for me it?s all about the asparagus. I swear the tips, nicely roasted, tasted like bacon! I don?t think I will ever be able to prepare asparagus any other way again. Thanks Ina!

Delicious dinner. I didn't cook the asparagus as long and added a sprinkle of Panko crumbs on them before putting in the oven. Loved the extra crunch!

I make this every time asparagus goes on sale. I can't stand scrambled eggs but this combination is fantastic and I love it. I usually only have to roast the asparagus for less than 10 minutes before I add the cheese, and it still seems to come out less than firm. I don't care--it's still delicious. I've never used a wooden spoon to cook eggs, I prefer a plastic spatula, but something about the wooden spoon makes the eggs softer and juicier (I'm sure the butter at the end helps. Highly recommend this recipe and I will continue to make it over and over again.

I just made the roasted asparagus part of this recipe and it is great! I also added some fresh minced garlic over top to roast with it and it turned out great. The cheese melts and gets brown and adds a little crunch. Very good!
