Thanks Ina. It's berry season again here in Connecticut. Had tons of berries to use up and this is an incredible and easy way to prepare them. I plan to serve over pound cake tonight with freshly whipped cream. The berries cooked perfectly. Love the colors too! The flavor seems to be more intense this way. Wish I had thought to do this years ago.

A wonderful, wonderful dessert, Ina. I have a friend who must eat only cooked fruit and vegetables, nothing fresh, due to a specific kind of cancer. This recipe was a simply the best kind of dessert I could have prepared for her. Thank you for providing such an innovative (and delicious! solution to a difficult problem.

Absolutely beautiful presentation! I ended up having to make more, this dish was so good. I made a white chocolate pudding and put the berries on top of that! Everyone had seconds! Thanks Ina, never disappointed with your recipes!

Let me start by saying, I love you Ina!!! Every recipe that I've tried of Ina's that involves the oven has turned out spectacular and this is no exception.

That mountain of strawberries staring at me in the fridge is now a sweet dessert that's healthy too :

Perfect recipe for my "first of the year promise to myself to eat more healthy. I purchased my vanilla beans (incredible quality on Amazon.com from JR Mushrooms & Specialties. $14.95 for 16 beans and boy are they of incredible quality! I use them for anything and everything and leave them in my sugar bowl while waiting for the next perfect recipe from Ina! Thank you Ina.

Like other comments, I use what's available at the market, and I've also used frozen berries. I just toss in a little vanilla extract, and I think I once used Grand Marnier. Sometimes I just put on ice cream, other times I have brought over for dessert at friends (excellent with Lemon Sorbet and when I only have plain yogurt, I add some berries or the juice for a tasty breakfast!

I only had strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. I was only making it for my husband and myself so I just put an amount in a small glass cooking dish and sprinkled with little sugar. I did not have vanilla beans so I just drizzed some good vanilla over the top, baked at 400 for 20 minutes. I let them cool while we ate dinner and then poured them over vanilla ice cream with a dollop of lite cool whip. My husband and I both loved this treat and we will make this again and again. I also plan on using this for company and serve it with fancy cookies for dessert. Thanks again Ina ! You are the best. (^_^

sounds fantastic however i am a berry - citrus freak, going to try this with lemon, maybe orange zest so will probably omit the vanilla -just wondering if anyone else has tried citrus. I do a lemon blueberry tart and vanilla seems to clash with the lemon, much better without.
