I made this for our family Easter barbeque, with a couple of slite modifications. Instead of tomatoe paste I used sun dried tomatoes packed in olive oil. Also I added fire roasted red peppers. It went over really big, everyone really loved it!!!

Very good! A little sweet, b/c I used a large onion... but took the hint from other reviews to add red pepper flakes and that made it even better! I can't wait to try this on a sandwich!

This recipe was so easy to make and it is delicious! I followed Ina advise to make the dish ahead, but it is so good it don't think that it will make it till the weekend!

I found this dip prepared in my friend's fridge while I was looking for a snack. I couldn't believe how great it was. She told me that it was one of Ina's recipes and I wasn't suprised. Everything I make from her recipes is always fantastic.

and easy! So savory, so delicious. A real treat for those who love dips. It's wonderful with pita bread, but I imagine it would work with just about any kind of bread or cracker. It tastes as though it took some hard work...you don't have to tell them it was effortless!

i make this spread every other week now and use it between layers in lasagna, as a pizza topping or just over a piece of crusty bread. The whole family loves it and is getting a great dose of veggies. Ina you really are a Goddess!
