My husband and I are fans of the show and saw the dish being prepared and end result. It looked so delicious and easy to make we decided to make the dish and it was excellent. The combination of blue cheese, walnut and dried cranberry filling has a great flavor and compliments the pear beautifully.

Easy, delicious and beautiful. Everyone thinks you've gone to so much trouble on this one but it's a snap! Good as a dinner salad or dessert, works either way.

This recipe was excellent! My only variation was dried cherries instead of dried cranberries. I can't wait to serve it at the next holiday dinner!

I have made a similar pear salad a few years back from a Nick Stellino recipe which uses honey and cinnamon to bake the pears in. Very similar recipes otherwise, but Nick's recipe was much more mellow than Ina's. Otherwise, one can't go wrong with Ina's recipes! Love her and them! A.S. Holladay, UT

We made this as our first course for Christmas dinner. It was easy to make and smelled great while it was in the oven. It looked beautiful and everyone loved it. I wll say that there was more dressing than we needed for the small amount of arugula we used. I just saved it in the refrigerator and used it for salad later on. I also used chopped walnut instead of walnut halves, it was easier to fill the pears that way. Delicious!
