Perfect recipe, you will never serve shrimp other than this way again. What could be more simple?

I think boiling shrimp must leak the flavor out of the shrimp because roasting them like this is much more flavorful. As a previous poster noted - you can TASTE the shrimp. I'll never boil shrimp ever again. Thanks, Ina - I've never had one of your recipe's fail. And, the sauce is wonderful!

Live near SC coast - love seafood. Always boiled the shrimp (ugh but when I tried roasting it it was love at first bite. You can really taste the shrimp - try it you'll love it, too.

I have used this method for the shrimp for every party I've had in the past three years. I've made the cocktail sauce and it's great too. You will never boil shrimp for coctail again after you try this method.

I made the cocktail sauce only. It's perfect. The only thing I do sometimes is mince a little very finely chopped celery--just gives a little extra crunch.

OMG!!! I saw this recipe a couple of days prior to New Year's and decided I had to try it. I will never make shrimp cocktail any other way ever again. My Mom couldn't stop saying how 'scrumptious' they were. Truly a simple, delicious recipe. I could easily have this for a quick dinner for one whenever the mood strikes as well!

The only reason I'm not classifying this as excellent is because I didn't make the cocktail sauce. I used store bought at Whole Foods which was delicious. That said, I will try to make this one next time because the shrimp really came out tasty.
