I love tomatoes, any way you make them, so a new kick is good. I've added elbow macaroni and a little thickening. great as a side dish like this!! Yum

I'll never buy canned tomato soup again now that I know how easy it is to make. Thanks Ina!

This was absolutely delicious! I used more EVOO in the body of the soup, but I am a huge fan of extra virgin olive oil. Thanks for this one Ina!!

Another hit! This recipe was incredible and very healthy (afterall, summer's coming... I added a chopped roasted jalape?o to the roasted tomatoes and it really added a great kick (Emerald style?. The soup really could have been a meal by itself, but found it paired really well with portabella grilled cheese.
Thanks again Ina!

I've made this with fresh spinach, also. A dollop of sour cream in the middle of the bowl when it's served. The best!

All the preparations are worthwhile. It's good the first day, but gets even better over time, too. Fresh tomatoes and basils are essential.
