I am so excited that I can now eat Caprese Salad all year long. One of my favorite things in the world is a Caprese Salad made with late-summer heirloom tomatoes. I could eat it morning, noon and night. The tomatoes in this recipe are so good that I'm not sure which I like more, this salad or the one I make in the summer.
I highly recommend that you try this, it's really incredible.

This recipe is well worth the wait! I needed to bake it for about 3 hours but this is unbelievably good. I served it with pieces of toasted baguette. To die for!

This salad is to die for!! I am a big fan of caprese salads but this one is the best by far. Even my boyfriend who doesn't care for tomatoes loved this salad. The combo of the sugar and the balsamic vinegar cooking together in the oven creates an aged balsamic flavour. Next time I'm going to use buffalo mozzarella instead of bocconcini. Thanks Ina! You have yet to disappoint me:

I am not a tomato lover.....until I made this. I paired this up with the Filet Sandwiches with Truffle Butter and it was just wonderful. I can't wait to make it again!!! Another simple recipe and well worth the wait as the tomatoes take awhile to roast. Thanks Ina!!!

This was so good! And I forgot to buy basil! I used tomatoes on the vine and sliced it into four slices. I scarfed the leftovers late that night if that tells you anything.

I, too, ran to the store to prepare this delicious recipe soon after I saw it on TV. I've made it twice and it didn't disappoint. Once I tried the full amount of sugar and the second time I halved it; the full amount is much better. Shouldn't fool with perfection.

I have been craving summer all winter long so I was game to try this recipe that turned crappy cheep tomatoes into summer tasting tomatoes. It worked and I almost ate all the tomatoes myself. We served the salad with some crusty bread and had the best summer dinner in the middle of winter.
