We saw this on the show and went immediately to the store to get the ingredients. WOW! This was so good. My taste buds were tingling. I want to make more bite size versions for my baby shower next month. yummmm...

Delicious - I've loved Caprese Salad for years and the roasted tomatoes in this one give it a whole new twist. I will make this again!

I've never tried an Ina Garten recipe that I didn't love and this one is no exception. It would be difficult to find a person that enjoys their fresh, in-season garden tomatoes more than I do, so I expected to be disappointed. I should have known better. Because the taste is superior to start with and they are organically grown, I substituted Maine grown "Backyard Beauties" for the roma tomatoes. I was a little leery of the sugar but the tiny amount added just the right amount of sweetness. You taste the sweet and you ask was that sweet? And before you can decide, it's gone and you're tasting something else. It's just a slight hint of sweetness is what I'm trying to say. There's only one problem with this recipe...they are so good, I ate most of them as soon as they cooled. I didn't even get to slice the mozzarella and julienne the fresh basil. Thanks to Ina I can enjoy tomatoes year round now!

I used Sonomic Vinegar, which is equivalent to a very special balsamic, and this dish was as close to heaven as you can get without dying. Kudos to Ina once again.

This recipe wowed my sibs at a gathering. The presentation and taste were both great! The roasting makes wintertime grocery-store roma tomatoes taste delish!

Received Ina's latest cookbook for Christmas and was intrigued by the idea of making a Caprese Salad with roasted tomatoes. Positively delicious! Have made it three times already and hubby and I make a meal out of it. Be sure to use fresh mozzarella. Also the tomatoes alone make a great side dish. Another winner from Ina!
