This is absolutely wonderful! I always eat dinner from the night before for lunch the next day and this recipe tastes as good cold as it does fresh out of the oven. I'd cook it again just to have my house smell like the dish again. You can eat it as-is or it's delicious over some french bread and good olive oil.

Seriously, delicious! Super easy! I roasted the tomatoes while I hit the grocery store for mozzarella. My husband and I ate the whole thing for supper. Perfect for a muggy, summer night. I, like the other reviewers, will try this on pizza dough and with pasta or even on toasted bread. The variations are endless with this yummy, simple dish.

This is the best recipe for caprese salad ever! This is the only way I will eat tomatoes in a salad. Try using the leftover tomatoes on a grilled pizza with fresh mozzarella. Ina has a great recipe for the pizza crust as well. Absolutely fantastic!

Made this twice this summer. It is delicious! Some of my family thought I was lying and that I bought it. Great to bring to parties. I made a little with toasted baguette slices to make the dish a good finger food. Highly recommend!

I've made this recipe several times during the summer when garden fresh tomatoes are available. It's a great recipe for using excess tomatoes. I've made it with cherry tomatoes and plum tomatoes. It's absolutely fabulous. We never tire of it.

Ten stars if I could! Make this recipe! Made for big gathering, EVERYONE asked the recipe. Sometimes, people ask for a recipe to be kind, but in this case, people called and emailed me later for the recipe. Outstanding when the tomatoes are less than perfect, or even when they aren't!

I omitted the sugar. It was a HUGE hit at the family picnic and I had nothing left to bring home. The roasted tomatoes gave it a wonderful flavor. I will make this again!!!

This was fantastic...a definite keeper in my recipe book! My daughter(13, who doesn't like tomatoes ate them like candy. The house smelled so good while the tomatoes were roasting, I couldn't wait for them to be done!
