Followed the recipe exactly, and the dish was delicious. My whole family loved having such tasty tomatoes in the winter!

What a great way to bring some flavor to our waxy, bland, off-season Michigan roma tomatoes!

Only thing I can comment on is, 2 hours wasn't quite long enough to carmelize the tomatoes...I kicked the heat up to 300 deg. for the last 30 minutes or so and they were still just a tad on the juicy side. The flavors were incredible, however, and brought rave reviews from the New Year's Eve party crowd.

Thank you, Ina! Yet another winner here.

This dish was excellent! I followed Ina's recipe to the "t", and was very pleased with the results. I brought the dish to a business-related dinner party, and received rave reviews.

I followed most of the instructions, I removed the core & seeds & after removing the tomatoes from the oven while warm. I seasoned the insides of the tomatoes with McCormick Italian Seasoning grinder, after the tomatoes cooled I filled them with Crumbled Blue Cheese. Since I was experimenting wasn't sure how they would turn out. Everyone loved them, I will be making them over the holidays.

this is the greatest. can't even tell you how many people wanted this recipe after i served it. my son was one of the biggest fans and that says a lot. i will forever have this on my appetizer list. i also like to serve this with crostini with people really like to have to make it more of a finger food. thanks for this one and the roasted shrimp cocktail.

We enjoyed the concentrated flavor of the tomatoes - even using bland winter tomatoes....A way to enjoy the summer!

I hated eating tomatoes, unless it was in pasta sauce or salsa. These were wonderful and a big hit for appetizers before Thanksgiving dinner. I will be making these again and again for my family and me the new tomato lover!

My husband and I went to Italy last year and we joke that we tried Caprese salad all over the country. How ironic I found the BEST recipe here in the us. Thanks Ina. I will ALWAYS slow roast tomatoes from now on. Absolutely scrumptious! I took the BASICS of this recipe and made homemade tomato soup using this process and it was outstanding too! Love it!
