I had another recipe for this same thing which used olive oil and maple syrup instead of the brown sugar and butter. It actually tasted a lot better and coated the nuts better as well, if I hadn't had that first I would have given this recipe 5 stars instead of 4.

Started taking these nuts to my BPW/USA gatherings a few years ago, and now have lots of requests for repeats. Have used cashews, mixed nuts(no peanuts please, and pecans. Always a favorite addition @ every event!

I make these ALL the time at the request of many friends. I have made them several hours before a party and covered them with foil - they stay warm until your guests arrive and are so good that way (plus you get a lot of credit for serving something you "just" made. I always make them with mixed, unsalted nuts and sometimes add more peanuts or cashews depending on my mood. My husband loves these so much I have to hide them from him so that I'll get a few!!

I love cashews, and this was delicious, especially to serve for a party

I made this for Christmas Eve out of the Barefoot in Paris book. The recipe differs slightly as it calls for 1 lb. unsalted roasted cashews and the baking time is 5 min. at 350. I could only find salted roasted cashews so I omitted the kosher salt. I prefer these nuts the next day after all flavors have had time to settle. Great taste and a crowd pleaser.

A friend shared this recipe but she used pecans instead of cashews. The nuts were excellent. Since then, this has become one of my favorite appetizers and frequently asked-for recipes.

They were different, which was nice and they are much better warm. Well at least I think they are.

Probably won't make them again. I love Inas recipes usually. This one isn't bad, it's just not her best.

Made these for a coctail party last night as a last minute idea. They were a huge hit and everyone raved about them! I should have doubled the recipe because they were the first things gone! I wound up printing out several copies of the recipe for people and was told that this has to be a staple at all of my parties now! There couldn't be a simpler recipe either!

When I first made these and tried one I was a bit uncertain. The taste was unusual and they did have some heat. I think they are an acquired taste because the more I ate the better they tasted. These are a good substitute for the traditional 'party mix'. I would make these again.
