Definitely my favorite rice pudding. Could it be the rum??? Counter to those who thought it wasn't sweet enough, I thought the sweetness was just perfect. And the rum (of which I added extra as well as extra raisins adds a nice, smooth flavor. I've made it many times, adding 2 eggs instead of 1, and it comes out perfectly. I have even substituted half the sugar with Splenda (not all of the sugar, though and it tastes the same. Try it! Comfort food extraordinaire!

This was so darn good. This would be a good thing to make as a take along desert to a potluck or dinner party. I will for sure make it again!

This is the best recipe for rice pudding I've ever used. I always have friends asking me to make it for them. By the way...I always add extra rum. lol It has a better flavor after it has cooled overnight.
Thanx a millon!

This recipe only uses one exta large egg--3 is wrong. If you search for it in the food network you will find the correct version--as well as how it was prepared on the show. This is a GREAT recipe!! Let it cool a bit--it will thicken. I made it with mostly milk and about a cup of 1/2 and 1/2.

This was really easy to make. You have to make sure that after you add the half and half you keep an eye on it otherwise your half and half will scold towards the end. I did not have any rum so I put the remaining cup of half and half and the vanilla extract in a bowl and put the raisins in that to soak (since they are all added at the same time. This was really yummy and really easy to make. I have never made a rice pudding before this.

This rice pudding was great. I did not use the raisins or the rum and only used one egg. I thought it was yummy and will make it again.

Easy to make and rich and creamy and not to sweet either. I used 3 large eggs and it came out just fine.

it. It was too watery and not sweet enough. I remember my mother's rice pudding as having cinnamon and nutmeg flavors in it. This seemed really bland. Not a fave.

MY rice pudding came out very runny. I did not like the fact that the recipe called for three eggs but you only used one in the show. Maybe next time I will try only one..
