I have made this recipe twice and it is now in my repertoire of favorites. And I didn't like lentils -- until now. It is so healthy and full of bright flavors! Easy to cook, too. I grill the salmon instead of baking. Be advised that the lentil mixture easily feeds six people. When I prepare this dish I make two salmon filets and freeze the extra lentils in two batches so my husband and I have two more delicious meals anytime we want.

I love this dish. My husband and I are trying to lose weight and so I have been searching for a recipe that is healthy, low fat and low calorie and this recipe is definitely a keeper. It's very tasty. I decided to pan fry the salmon instead of baking it and turns out just fine.

Here are two very important takeaways from this recipe:
1. This makes enough lentils to feed a medium-sized army.
2. You'll need to invest in a commercial-grade "pan" to cook your salmon, unless you enjoy a kitchen/ downstairs/ house filled with smoke.
The finished product was good. Cut the amount of lentils in half if you truly only intend to serve a couple of people.

This was so delicious! Next time I will use a heavier bottomed pan, my pan got too hot and had an inferno of smoke rolling off it and cooked fast ! Still, the salmon turned out perfectly. The lentils and vegetables were delicious. We had some left over and will be eating them with panko crusted pork chops tonight. Thank you for yet another great recipe, Ina!

I'm a big fan of Ina's and even though I never really cared for lentils, I decided to try it after reading many review. I have to say, after following the recipe pretty much to the letter(I used green lentils but not de puy I was pretty much underwhelmed. Oh we'll . I did make it with Ina's panko crusted salmon and that was a hit even with my husband who doesn't really like salmon.

These lentils were awesome. I made them with store chicken broth and since I didn't have enough I also added a can of stewed tomatoes and they turned out incredibly good. Thanks Ina!

I cook a lot and this was the BEST salmon I have ever made...the cooking technique was easy and the fish turned out PERFECTLY. I had reservations of the fish sticking with heating a dry pan but it browned and released perfectly. The lentils were delicious and will be made frequently. I followed the recipe exactly and everything was perfect. THANK YOU!!
