This recipe has become a staple in my dinner routine and is frequently requested by my boyfriend. The most difficult part is the prep, but if you do most of it ahead of time, the recipe is super simple. Yummy and very healthy, thanks for another great recipe Ina!

WOW! Loved this recipe. Made it for guests and all I can say is they were absolutely wowed! I used sprouted green lentils for that extra nutrition boost. Earlier in the day I did the prep chopping, removed the skin from the salmon and had "mise en place" when my guests arrived. We chatted and laughed over appetizers while I prepared the dish. It goes together so easy and quick. The salmon had a nice crust and was done perfect, the lentils were flavor extraordinaire and the presentation was beautiful. Served it up with a nice un-oaked Chardonnay for that bright crisp complement to the earthy richness of the dish. Thanks Ina for a memorable recipe that made for a memorable evening!!!

My favorite BC recipe of all. So complex, so beautiful, the combination of the rich lentil stew underneath the salmon. The vinegar should not be skipped, it's an essential addition to the lentils.

I can't eat lentils currently, they upset my infant sons tummy, but I made the salmon and it turned out perfect! This will be my go-to way to cook salmon from now on.

Excellent dish - the salmon was perfectly cooked and the lentils were flavorful and tender. The relative bulk and substance of the lentil/vegetable combo really worked with the salmon, giving it balance. One caveat to blow your mind: right at the end, post-vinegar, add about a cup or two of raisins. A-MA-ZING! The sweetness of the raisins offsets the tang of the vinegar. Perfect!

This is an excellent dish! My 12 year-old son said at first: "We are eating lentils?" with that little tone you know. Later on he said: "The lentils taste really good!!" lol We all loved it!
