Delicious stuffing. I added sage, rosemary and thyme. It was better than my mother's stuffing. I strongly recommed this recipe!

Wonderful. Made it for Thanksgiving dinner and plan to repeat it tomorrow for Christmas. Contessa, you are genius! Happy Holidays

This Thanksgiving everyone raved about this stuffing! Great recipe. I did however not use the sausage. Instead I added toasted pecans. Then, since it needed a bit of spice without the sausage flavor, I added sage, thyme and rosemary. Yummmmm! The best stuffing ever!

I noticed one user saying it was dry. Hardly dry at all but I think you have to be sure to blend the bread with the butter and onion mixture very well. Then be sure you use the right sized dish when you add the chicken stock. Or use a bit more chicken stock to be sure everything is moist before you put into the oven.

Very, very good and very, very, very easy to make. I would recommend, however, that you go with the spicy sausage - it was the only part of the dish that really brought the heat.

probably the best stuffing i've ever had. my mother made it for thanksgiving this year, i would have omitted the onions though.

Usually think that Ina's recipes are a home run, but this one needed some tweaking. We found the stuffing a little dry and the flavor lacking. I added more chicken stock and fresh sage, rosemary and thyme which corrected both issues for us. Will use this recipe again with the additional stock/herbs.

Excellent! It's not dry. The sausage really adds some taste. I will make this every year.

Add this to the list of keepers! Three of Ina's dishes were on my table this year and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome ... so was everyone else!

I used this recipe for yesterday's holiday feast and it was terrific. Very flavorful yet I added some Bell's Seasoning for that traditional, nostalgic taste and aroma. The sausage and fruits made this an elegant yet rustic stuffing. Do it for your next bird roast!!!
