Great appetizer for dinner parties. Note: I substituted cream cheese for the mascarpone. Can probably omit scallions w/o impacting the flavor too much.
Note: the recipe makes far more stuffing than fits into the mushrooms, so cut the filling by at least half. Also, put the mushrooms in for 40 minutes, then check periodically, as it often doesn't require 50 min to cook

Delicious, easy to make, and pretty. Made with a convection oven and required only 35 minutes of cooking. Loved it!

Love, love, love Ina's dishes but unfortunately this dish was too greasy. If the Italian Sausage was switched out for ground beef, you could control the seasoning a little more or mix it up a bit. The mushrooms were however good. Possibly switch out the Mascarpone Chesse for Creme Fraiche to make it a little creamier as well. Just my thoughts. Happy cooking!!!

I made this appetizer the first time for Christmas and it has quickly become a family favorite! I get requests for "sausage stuffed mushrooms" for all our family gatherings! My 10 year old neice even requested them for her birthday dinner...they are excellent, easy to make and everyone's favorite! Another exceptional treat from Ina!!

I made these according to the recipe with 2 exceptions. I only used 2 scallions, although they very large. aAd I substituted cream cheese for the marscapone. They were fabulous! Hubby loved them, even reheated the next day.

I made these for the first time for Thanksgiving dinner last year and my family just went crazy for them. We have had them at least a dozen time since and they will continue to be a staple at our holiday table for years to come My one son does not like mushrooms but loves the filling. I alway have to make him extra in a bowl to put on crackers. Delicious!

Just made these following the recipie exactly. I am soo disappointed. They are not good at all, very bland, greasy, and even unattractive. I love Ina but this is absolutly not one of her better recipies in my opinion. I will NOT make this again
