I made these mushrooms as an appetizerfor Thanksgiving. I followed the recipe exactly, except used cream cheese in place of the mascarpone (couldn't find it in my store, and only baked for only 30 minutes instead of 50. They were easy and delicious, and were one of the favorite dishes of the entire meal. I am making them again this weekend for a party. Thanks, Ina!!

Used poultry hot sausage instead, but stuck with the recipe - the only complaint of my guests was that I didn't make more!

I took a risk and made this for Thanksgiving Day. I found some perfectly fresh giant mushrooms at my grocery. I put everything together, then took the pan of stuffed mushrooms over to my in-laws to bake. They traveled well and were a HUGE hit with the family! I had a little bit of stuffing left over even after stuffing the mushroom caps so I heated it up in our toaster oven and it was a wonderful prelude to the real thing. Everyone has BEGGED me to make these again for Christmas. I loved them so much that I certainly will do an encore. Bravo, Ina!

I made these stuffed mushrooms for Thanksgiving Day. They were a huge hit. My friend said "that they were the best stuffed mushrooms that she ever had. " Her sons gobbled these all up too. I made a mistake when I made these. At the end of the recipe it says to add the Parmesan Cheese and Panko Bread Crumbs to the stuffing. I did not know that I needed to add it. I thought it just went on the top of these. I was wrong. It was supposed to be mixed in. I have seen things with a bread crumb crust on top. I had these all stuffed, so I just put the mixture on the top.
This was a great recipe, I will defiinately make it again. Thanks Ina.

Tried this recipe out for our big football game weekend. It was the hit of the party. Really yummy and great tasting. I do agree with draining out the fat from the sausage before adding the rest of the ingredients. I also ground up the sausage in my food processor, because I didn't get the sausage as broken up during cooking as I would have liked. I used Italian flavored panko, and it tasted great. I do recommend this recipe to others to try. I've already e-mail the link to many of my "foodie" friends.

Made this for Thanksgiving as an appetizer while waiting for dinner. They came out great and my family loved them. Will definitely make this again and again. You can't go wrong with this recipe - great for cocktail parties.
