From the south growing up, we had cabbage as a side dish at least once a week. This recipe is so fresh and so easy. Takes a completely different spin on the boil cabbage I grew up with. Love this recipe, thanks Ina!

Super easy, and really delicious! A great way to add a cheap and healthy vegetable to our normal repertoire of dinners. I'll be making this often.

OMG, this was the best sauteed cabbage I have ever made. Did not change a thing. Nothing left on the plate. Thanks Ina

This was very good. I was surprised that such a simple cabbage dish would be so good. I'm used to smelly overcooked cabbage but this wasn't anything like that. Definitely a keeper.

Loved this recipe, I usually do bacon, balsamic, or just oil. I cut the recipe in half and it was perfect!! Best thing about it was that it was not greasy. Almost guilt free lol. Happy cooking to all! :

Try adding a Tablespoon or so of Balsamic Vinegar just before removing from the heat. It adds a really great gourmet taste.

Loved this! I cut the butter in half and added a splash of olive oil then sauteed some caraway seeds with the shredded cabbage until the cabbage was tender-crisp. It was still a bright green and had just a "tooth" to it. It accompanied sauteed pork chops and a sweet-sour-dill green bean side dish. A wonderful filling but low carb side. My picky daughter and husband lapped it up.
