I've never been a big cabbage person. Actually, I've never really eaten it because of the smell, but I've made this twice and it's a quick and delicious veggie. My husband absolutely loves it too. And it couldn't possibly be easier to make!

It was great..I love cabbage and mostly all green vegetables. This dish didn't last around the dinner table. There were no second servings of cabbage...thanks Ina

This was a great dish. I added a little sugar and sauteed some chopped onion in the butter first. This is a nice change from regular boiled cabbage.

This was such a welcome change in how to serve my cabbage. Normally, I boil it and it always comes out soggy and greasy. This alternative side dish uses a lot of butter but it's so much better than traditional soggy, greasy cabbage.

Great recipe! I sauteed a diced shallot in the butter before adding the cabbage. I also added some diced red bell pepper to the cabbage while it cooked. Very tasty.

For those cooking the cabbage in bacon drippings, try adding some apple cider vinegar to the cabbage just before eating. WOW!- especially if you like vinegar.

It is chilly out and instead of another cold salad (trying to lose a few lbs I decided to try this simple warm recipe. It was delicious! Just finished it- but I added a few strips of cooked bacon and that's why I loved it so much. The bacon flavor and the pepper tasted great.
Maybe next time I will cook the raw bacon, add the cabbage and forget the butter.

I really love Cabbage and look forward to any new recipes. Especially with picky eaters in my house. Well, I did make some changes to fit the type of cuisine we love in my house, I actually sauteed 1/4 c of Shallots with 1 slice of bacon. Once the bacon was crisp I removed it, added the 2 TBSP of Unsalted Butter, sauteed the cabbage with a little Homemade Cajun Seasonings with a 1/4 c of chicken stock…that was the ticket…It turned out OOH WEE AWESOME!
