The dough was definitely crumbly and a little hard to manage, but the end result was really yummy.

This cookie is perfect! I made it for my daughter school, and there was not even a crumb left. I will never make sugar cookies again. Ina thank-you for a wonderful recipe.

I tried this recipe and it was a success. My two year old loved the fact that she could help me decorate. All we did was to sprinkle sugar. Next time I will try them with the chocolate. Thanx Ina!

First of all, I don't have the fancy mixer she uses but I used an electric mixer. My dough seemed as it mixed well but it wouldn't form a dough like hers. Mine was crumbly almost. I put in the fridge for 30 min and still not very workable. when I baked them they almost seemed doughy...put in another 5 min and never saw browning on the edges. Can someone help me out. Could it be the mixer???

I've made these cookies a couple of times with great success, but this time they spread out and lost their shape. I think I did everything as I have in the past. Should I chill them again after cutting them out? Any other suggestions?

According to her show if the dough is too cold it will crack when rolled out. 30 mins max in the fridge after mixing the dough. I am going to give this recipe a try this week. My rating is mute as I have not tried them yet. But I do like shortbread the best.

these cookies turned out great....the only problem i had was that the dough turned out crumbly...not sure why. but i managed to put it together..i used a cute little flower shaped cookie cutter nd sprinkled sugar. instead of dipping it in chocolate i drizzled chocolate over them..they were fabulous! thanks ina!
